Welcome

Counseling can be a hard journey to leap into and I’m glad you are here exploring your options. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Counseling takes effort, time and I welcome you to give yourself the time to work on your personal goals to enhance your mental health well-being. Every day I strive to continue growing as a person and as a profession with the goal to provide support to others and if given the opportunity I can help you through your journey.

How I Work

The initial part of the counseling relationship will consist in getting to know each other and building the therapeutic relationship. It may be somewhat uncomfortable to initial share details of your life with someone you are just getting to know but I hope to be able to create a safe space that welcomes honesty and a safe space. As we continue working together, we will identify different goals and determine the path therapy will take.

Progress towards our goals is not always linear, and that’s ok! It’s part of what makes us beautifully flawed and human - progress goes in every direction and in all kinds of paces. It's uniquely your goal and your progress with it, no right or wrong, the value is in the journey and experience that make us learn and grow. Along side with that I will incorporate different techniques and tools that will support your journey through counseling and the goal is to incorporate those tools in your day to day living.

Some of the modalities or techniques that I use are, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy
