Welcome!

Thank you for taking the first step towards choosing a counselor. Picking a counselor that is a good match for you is a tough task and it is important that you find a good fit. I am a calm and accepting person who uses a strengths-based approach within a mindfulness framework. I will provide you with a safe and nurturing space for you to tell your story. Your story is your own and you are a unique person, and I will look at your concerns with an approach that is right for you. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
How I Work

At the beginning of the counseling experience, we will get to know each other. You will be the one that decides what you want to work on and I play the role of a supportive coach. I believe you have wisdom and guidance inside you, and you just need someone to help you identify and tap into your strengths.

As the counseling process continues, you will process your feelings about your life, step back from your situation, and get a broader perspective. You will add to your current tools, figure out what you can let go of, and make desired changes. I can help you experience your emotions and behaviors with curiosity, self-compassion and acceptance. I can give you the space to be vulnerable and explore where you want to go next.

I use my own life events, personal therapy experience, and skills I have learned in my twenty years of being a Social Worker to help you deal with your circumstances. You can navigate life’s changes from a place of staying in the moment and being grateful. You can accept your perfectly imperfect self and find your voice. At the end of the counseling process, you will have made friends with yourself and your past, focus on the here and now, and feel more empowered to embrace the relationships and experiences that you want for yourself in the future.
