Develop or Deepen Your Mindfulness Practice
Our mindfulness coaches can help you develop or deepen your mindfulness meditation practice and achieve a more present, centered state of being. There is nothing better than a personal mindfulness coach. They are your guide for living in the moment and getting clear on what you want to create, with one-on-one sessions that will help them adjust their approach to best suit each individual's needs.
Mindfulness coaching is an excellent way to learn how to be mindful while in any given moment-walking down the street, taking out trash at home, eating dinner. While many people feel like they need time away from their life when starting this process (like going on vacation), it’s actually best if we integrate these practices into our daily lives first before adding them as something extra; otherwise there may not seem much point in having such activities since every day would just blend into the next, which can be really exhausting.
Mindfulness Coaching includes:
Learn how to use mindfulness to release stress and reduce anxiety. Ever wonder how mindfulness can help you release stress and reduce anxiety? Mindfulness is a powerful process that involves focusing on the present without any judgement. It allows for deep relaxation which leads to decreased levels of cortisol, blood pressure, heart rate and respiration rates – all factors in reducing both physical as well as mental tension!
Specific exercises you can use to incorporate mindfulness in your daily life and make you more productive, empathetic, and content. Think of mindfulness as a type of coping skill that can be used in everyday life to help with moment-to-moment stress and anxiety. Your coach will teach you the right mindfulness exercises for you, regardless of your level of experience. These exercises can help improve your day-to-day life with mindful living.
Individualized mindfulness coaching based on your personal needs. With individualized mindfulness coaching, you will be able to find inner peace and keep a level head no matter what life throws at you. In today's society, it is all too easy for our personal needs to get pushed aside in the pursuit of climbing the proverbial career ladder or ticking off as many tasks on your list as possible before bedtime. However, with these one-on-one coaching sessions, we can help you rediscover the most important aspects of compassion, self-care, and personal wellness while while still achieving our daily goals.

Coaching vs Therapy
Mindfulness Coaching and Mindfulness-based Therapy are closely related, but there are some important distinctions that might help you to decide which one is best for you.
Perhaps the most important distinction is that someone who would benefit from mindfulness coaching may not have any significant psychological struggles or symptoms. Instead, they might just like to become “better” at meditating and learn how to apply their mindfulness practice to living a more fulfilling life outside of the timed meditation sessions. In the mindfulness coaching sessions, the coach will address specific goals that the client has for improving his or her practice. The coach will provide tips and teach particular techniques that will improve the client’s practice.
Conversely, someone who is a good fit for Mindfulness-based Therapy may have been struggling with anxiety, depression, or other diagnosable symptoms. The primary focus would then be on lessening symptoms and allowing the client to be freed up to move toward growth. Mindfulness-based concepts and skills will be taught, but are not necessarily the primary focus of the work between therapist and client.
An overlap between these two modalities will often occur as the therapy client may begin to ask for specific guidance on meditation practice, and may identify improving meditation practice as a goal of their work with the therapist. On the other hand, the coaching client will often have some difficulty that requires exploring and understanding their psychological or developmental history in the way that therapy often does.
If you are seeking as much help as possible, as quickly as possible, you might consider doing both therapy and coaching. One important differentiator, though, is that insurance can only be used for therapy and cannot be used for coaching.
Whichever you choose, the purpose of meeting with a therapist or coach at the Austin Mindfulness Center is to learn about mindfulness and how it may help you to live a more rich and fulfilling life.
